The U.R.B. bearings are made from chrome alloy steel. U.R.B. offers SAE
52100 chrome steel for maximum fatigue life. This material is heat-treated to
achieve optimum hardness and dimensional stability, and is suitable for most
applications. SAE 52100 Bearing Steel is vacuum degassed, to get rid of non metallic
impurities as well as to control oxygen and titanium ppm in the steel. The material
has uniform specification as AISI 52100 (America), DIN100Cr6 (Germany), JISSUJ2
(Japan) and GCr15 (Chinese).
The table below indicates the common characteristics of SAE 52100.
